Introduction
Hello class... my name is Adriana and I am a senior. My major is in Communication Studies and my minor is Psychology. I am a full time student and a part time cheer coach at a high school. I have found that communication is very important as a coach as well as many other aspects in my life. I look forward to learn about organizational communication and meeting you all!

Adriana, How did you get involved in being a cheer coach? It seems like the job would involve using what you're learning in both your major and minor.
I use to be a student and a cheerleader in the high school that I coach at. After I graduated I still kept in contact with the faculty and when they needed a new coach they contacted me and offered me the position. I have been coaching for three years now and it is incredible how much I can apply my experiences to both Communication studies and Psychology. The things that I learn in my classes help me to be a better coach as far as understanding them and help them understand me. I also feel that the things that I am learning as a coach help me apply what I am learning in my classes.
